Productive Failure as a Method for Learning about Effective Collaborative Problem Solving

Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) skills are receiving increased attention in the current workforce and lifelong learning. In learning labor contexts, successful teamwork is however not always guaranteed, due to several reasons, such as an unequal level of individual participation. Training CPS for all groups therefore needed. However, resources competence development scarce. As part our project entitled Supporting Teamwork Ambient Learning Spaces (STEAMS), we, therefore, designed interactive professional training on CPS, which perceived both a method goal. this paper, we outline design process along with some crucial decisions needed make, aim illustrate how implementing productive failure can foster adults’ CPS-competencies development.
